Why $7.50?

Rifle ammo costs more to make than pistol - heavier projectile, more powder, more brass per case. This .223 trial pack runs $7.50 instead of the $3.80 we charge for our 9mm 115gr trial. Still sold at our cost. No profit baked in. Just 20 rounds of SAAMI-spec .223 so you can cycle it through your rifle, see how it shoots, and decide for yourself before you commit to bulk.

If it works, we've got bulk .223 packs from 50 rounds up to 10,000 with . If it doesn't, our 100% guarantee has you covered.

Limit 5 packs per order - first-time buyers, not bulk discounts.

Why .223 Remington?

.223 Remington is the standard American civilian rifle cartridge - SAAMI-spec, designed for accuracy in everything from semi-auto carbines to bolt-action hunting rifles. Six decades of use. Millions of rifles. The benchmark for affordable, accurate American rifle ammo.

Our .223 55gr FMJ is built to that SAAMI specification - remanufactured to bring the price down. Same projectile profile. Same .223 pressure loading. Same downrange performance. Reliable cycling in semi-autos. Bolt-rifle accurate. Range-volume priced.

Test Cycling
Run 20 rounds through your gas system or bolt and see if it runs clean before committing to 1,000.
Check Accuracy
See how it groups at 50 / 100 yards in your barrel before you stockpile.

How We Build It

We don't cut corners. Even at $7.50, this round goes through the exact same 16-point quality control as every other Brass Kisses cartridge:

  1. Inspected for splits, cracks, and defects
  2. Cleaned and pressure-tested on Scharch Range Master systems
  3. Deprimed, flash holes cleared, primer pockets reamed
  4. Acid-washed and resized to S.A.A.M.I. spec on proprietary Brass Kisses tooling
  5. Loaded with new CCI primers, Hodgdon powder, and 55gr copper-jacketed FMJ projectiles on Camdex and Ammo Load Mark L rifle presses
  6. Final 16-point QC before packing

Same build as our 10,000-round bulk pack. Same casings. Same components. Same QC. The only difference between this 20-round trial and our 10,000-round bulk is the count and the price.

Reliable. Unapologetic. 100% Guaranteed.

Common Questions

Will it cycle reliably in my AR-15?
Yes - SAAMI-spec .223 Remington ammo cycles in any AR-15 chambered for .223 Rem, .223 Wylde, or 5.56 NATO. SBRs under 10.5" may need gas tuning - which is exactly why we built this trial pack. Test it in your gun before you buy bulk.
Will this work in my bolt-action .223?
Yes - this is standard SAAMI .223 Remington ammo, designed to run in any .223-chambered firearm including bolt rifles (Ruger American, Remington 700, Tikka T3, Howa 1500), single-shots, and break-action platforms. Same case dimensions, same projectile.
Why the 5-pack limit?
This pack is designed for first-time buyers to test our .223 in their rifle - not as a way to stock up cheaper. If you want volume, our bulk .223 packs
Why is some of the brass headstamped 5.56 and some .223?
Because the case is just the wrapper - what matters for performance is how we load it. We use once-fired brass from either headstamp source, then process and load every cartridge to our standard .223 Remington manufacturing specs. The result is identical performance regardless of which headstamp you happen to grab from the box.
Will this damage my suppressor?
No. Standard 55gr FMJ with a copper jacket is suppressor-safe. We don't run unjacketed lead through our line. That said: .223 is supersonic and you'll still hear the sonic crack downrange even through a can - suppressors reduce muzzle report, not bullet noise.
Should I use this for home defense?
This is FMJ training/range ammo, not defensive ammo. For carbine home defense, look at premium JHP or soft-point loads from major manufacturers (Hornady Critical Defense, Speer Gold Dot, Federal Tactical, etc.). FMJ tends to over-penetrate in residential settings. Train with this .223 FMJ for proficiency, carry a defensive load.
