he 300 Blackout cartridge—also known as 300 AAC, 300 AAC Blackout, 300 BLK, or simply Blackout—was originally designed for suppressed firearms using heavy 220 grain projectiles. Over the past decade, it has proven to be a reliable and effective cartridge for thin-skinned game at distances of 100 yards and under.

Due to its lower velocity, expansion is reduced compared to lighter supersonic loads—but the dramatic drop in decibels makes it a top choice for suppressed shooting. Our SHUSH 220gr Subsonic ammunition is optimized for suppressed AR-15 platforms but performs just as well in bolt-action or single-shot rifles.
