300 Blackout · Subsonic · Utah-Built
Born For The Can.
220gr subsonic remanufactured FMJ at 950 FPS — the load the .300 Blackout was invented for. Pair it with a suppressor and hear your bolt cycle, not your muzzle.
Why 220gr Subsonic?
The .300 AAC Blackout exists for exactly this load. The cartridge was designed to push a heavy .30-caliber bullet at subsonic speed through a short-barreled, suppressed AR — and do it while cycling reliably. Our 220gr subs run at 950 FPS, well below the sound barrier: no supersonic crack, just the mechanical sound of your action doing its job.
Big, heavy, and quiet — with a 0.398 ballistic coefficient that keeps the round stable and predictable at the ranges subsonic Blackout was built to work.
For Suppressor Users
950 FPS means no sonic boom from muzzle to target. This is the cartridge-and-can combination the Blackout was engineered around.
For SBRs & AR Pistols
Blackout burns its powder in short barrels — you get full performance from 7.5"–10.5" builds where 5.56 gives up velocity and flash.
For Quiet Range Days
Suppressed subsonic Blackout is about as quiet as centerfire rifle shooting gets. Neighbors stay happy, ears stay fresh.
For Volume Subsonic Training
Premium subsonic hunting loads are expensive. Train at the same 220gr weight and trajectory for a fraction of the cost.

How We Build It
16-point QC. Every round. No exceptions.
Every Brass Kisses 220gr cartridge starts as once-fired brass that gets treated like it matters — because it does:
- Inspected for splits, cracks, and defects
- Cleaned and pressure-tested on automated Scharch Range Master systems
- Deprimed with flash holes cleared
- Primer pockets reamed to accept fresh CCI primers
- Acid-washed for surface uniformity
- Resized on proprietary Brass Kisses tooling to strict S.A.A.M.I. spec
Then loaded with premium components — new CCI primers, new Hodgdon powder, new 220gr copper-jacketed FMJ projectiles — on Camdex and Ammo Load Mark L rifle presses. Every batch runs through the 16-point quality control before it ships.
Reliable. Unapologetic. 100% Guaranteed.
Common Questions
Is this truly subsonic?
Yes — 950 FPS average velocity, well below the 1,125 FPS speed of sound. No supersonic crack downrange. Through a suppressor, the loudest thing you'll hear is your action cycling.
Will subsonic Blackout cycle in my AR?
Subsonic 300 BLK runs best in rifles set up for it — pistol-length gas systems, and ideally suppressed (the added back-pressure helps cycling). Some unsuppressed or carbine-gas setups may short-stroke with subs; adjustable gas blocks solve it. Bolt guns and single-shots run it without a second thought. Our 100% guarantee covers you either way.
Can I shoot this in my 5.56 / .223 rifle?
NO — never. A .300 Blackout round can chamber in a 5.56/.223 barrel and will cause a catastrophic failure if fired. Keep Blackout mags clearly marked and never mix them with 5.56 mags at the bench. This is the one rule of owning both.
Will this damage my suppressor?
No. The 220gr projectile is copper-jacketed FMJ — the standard for suppressor use — and we don't run unjacketed lead through our line. Reman vs new brass makes no difference to suppressor wear.
Is this good for hunting?
This is FMJ range/training ammo — a non-expanding projectile at subsonic energy. For hogs, deer, or predators, use expanding supersonic loads designed for terminal performance. Use these 220gr subs to train quiet and cheap, then load expanding ammo for the hunt.
How fast does Brass Kisses ship?
