No — this is a new-production flat-point range and training load, not a defensive hollow point. It's ideal for practice at the classic 180gr duty weight. For carry or home defense, choose a purpose-built defensive .40 load.

Will it run in my Glock 22/23 or M&P?

Yes. 180gr is standard .40 duty weight, and the flat-point profile feeds cleanly in Glock 22/23/27, S&W M&P, and most standard .40 pistols and carbines.

What's the recoil like?

Standard .40 snap — the heavier 180gr bullet at moderate velocity gives a firm but manageable push, right in line with common duty and training loads.
